2002 O.I.A. Girls Cross Country Champions

Congratulations to the Mililani Varsity Girls team for winning
the 2002 O.I.A. Girls Cross Country Championships
held on Saturday November 9th at Nanakuli High School.
On the winning team was Deanne Soon  finishing in 6th place,
Sara Mitman 7th place, Christina Korodan 11th place
Rachel McClay 13th place, Megan Kanda 14th place,
  Kara Maeda 24th place and Michelle Lee 42nd place.
The Boys team placed 10th overall.  Ehren Ching was the top
finisher in 8th place followed by Chris Castell in 32nd.
A special thanks to Deanne Soon's Mom for driving the girls
to the meet when we found out the bus was going to be late.
The extra time they had to warm up really paid off!

Mililani JV Girls on their way to the JV Championship

Congratulations to the JV Girls & Boys team who completed their season
at the O.I.A. JV Championships Sat. Nov. 2 at Nanakuli High School.
The Girls team placed 3rd overall, with Sara Mitman finishing 1st place,
Christina Korodan 3rd place and Rachel McClay 6th place.
The Boys team placed 7th overall.  The Boys top finisher was
Bryson Takata in 23rd place with a PR time of 19:38.
O.I.A. JV Championship Results
The JV teams have come a long way since the start of the season.
They endured tough workouts at practice and even tougher competition at the meets, and through it all they continued to work hard and continued
to improve throughout the season.  I hope you all enjoyed the experience,
it was a pleasure to work with all of you this year.
Don't let all your hard work go to waste, continue running in the off season
so that you'll be ready to come out for the Track team!

The Varsity teams also competed at the I.L.H. meet held on the HPU campus,
Deanne Soon placed 12th in the Varsity Girls Race, and
Chris Castell placed 4th & Ehren Ching 8th in the Varsity Boys Race.
